A Boxing We Have Been

In a whirlwind of activity, our stay in Congress has yielded 4 new carves for traditional plants. Four traditional finds and 3 actual plants.

One more to plant before we leave. These plants are more for the traveler than the hiker and would be considered nearly drivebys.

Today our journeys took us on a tour of Prescott, the Valley of the Skulls, and some of the back roads of this part of the country. There are some very nice bronze sculptures around the courthouse in Prescott http://walkingprescott.blogspot.com/2008/11/prescotts-heroic-bronzes.html. We also visited the Sharlot Hall Museum grounds: http://sharlot.org/exhibits/perm/index.html.

Mail is due to arrive on Monday in Congress so we will be somewhere around here until then. In the meantime there is always the mundane waiting to be done. Today's mundane was laundry, perhaps some housecleaning tomorrow.

Miss T has been enjoying the Bark Park but has yet to meet any new friends there. We know they've been there because the tennis balls have moved.

Last night we had to go to bed when the sun went down because of battery overuse. Will have to be much more conservative the next couple days to get them back up. This park has a no generator rule, though one of the manager's suggested starting the generator at the same time the engine is running to bring in the slides is an ok loop hole. And, no one else would be much the wiser. I reminded him I had been STRONGLY informed of the rule and said it was ok anyway.

So that said, email is read, finds are logged, plants are listed. Time to shut down and go read a small rectangular object for awhile.
