Today it was one of these:

Almost couldn't believe what I was seeing. My brain tried to tell me it was another coyote; but something wasn't quite right. That short, unusual length tail. Short tail; bobbed tail. Bobtail. Bobcat...
It was carrying either dinner or a kit, couldn't quite tell. By the time the camera was disconnected from the computer the shot was gone.
I love your comments about simplifying and being quiet. Nature has a way of creeping up on us when we aren't "fussing". We were in an urban park about a week ago, having found a letterbox. Before we could replace it a crew of landscapers swept into the area. We sat on a bench for well over an hour, just watching the animals, birds, and insects. The lizard, mouse, birds and butterflies weren't as amazing as your coyote and bobcat, but were very satisfying to see with people all around us. Quiet was nice.

Wow! That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a bummer that the best shots always get away...happens to me all the time! :-)
Wow. That must have been wonderful, camera or no camera!
