While we were there we learned about some of the local Military history as well as local myths. Did you know there are dragon tracks all over this county. I couldn't get any good pictures of the tracks; they were too large. Of course to get to these places there were plenty of trails to hike and boulders to hop. One site in particular really had us hopping between the boulders and all the large driftwood.

Miss T loved the day. She had lots of off leash time.
She met some of the local characters.

But what really made her day is.... She discovered she can swim. Miss T is a water dog who for nearly two years has felt for the bottom before moving out into water. Today she took a flying leap after a stick and wound up over her head. After grabbing that stick and bringing it back to shore she couldn't get enough. 'Bout wore out my arm throwing sticks for her so she could paddle out for them. Created an ocean monster I'm afraid. Now every time she sees it out the car window she gets all excited.

Oh yeh and we found 6 or 8 letterboxes today too with about 6 miles of hiking. The hiking might have been shorter except for looking in what looked like the right place but wasn't. Wonder if they have an app for that?
Yep, it was a good day.
