Laundry Therapy

Some days just doing the mundane can be healing. The rig has a small W/D combination (dries in the same unit in which it washes). It's good for a single person or a couple who don't go through a lot of clothes in a short time. All that is required is access to enough water and a place for it to go after it washes the clothes. It is much too small to do the bedding. So after being on the road now for 6 weeks it is a pleasure to be able to do such a mundane task. Then there is the anticipation of climbing into a totally refreshed bed tonight.

Puttsing around, doing such a mundane task, requires little thought. The mind is free to think of other things, and also free to not. Even with the low key life I live, there are times of overload. Interjecting a space of the mundane works as a good buffer, defusing anything that might be building up. Today is a good time to make a day of the mundane (and the to-do list will become shorter too).

And the clean sheets tonight... aaaaahh.

  1. I agree, Baqash - sometimes I find it therapeutic doing the mundane stuff around the house, too. Happy putzing! :o)

  2. Enjoy your day, Baqash! As for me and my daughter, we're packing up for a weekend-long camping trip with the Girl Scouts -- my first!
