Yesterday I saw my first handbell concert at Glendale First United Methodist Church. A handbell choir is really a single instrument. If one person is missing it is like a piano missing keys or a guitar missing a string. Someone has to pick up the slack.
This piece was written to express the journey of someone experiencing cancer, death, and release. You can hear all the emotions in the piece.
My friends Larry and Judy Ballenger were participants in both the Carillon and Wesleyan Ringers, directed by their daughter, Ruth Ballenger.
(my first time uploading a video. we'll see how it goes.
How beautiful, the video made me feel as if I was there. Thank you for sharing it "D"
ReplyDeleteMy good friend is in a handbell choir--it really is amazing how it all goes together when done correctly! Thanks!
